The German M&A team together with the German I&M / Renewable Energy team are pleased to announce the conclusion of the sale of the Offshore Wind Park "Albatros" to EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG. The transaction was signed and closed on December 17th, 2014.
EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG acquired “Albatros” from the STRABAG OW EVS GmbH, a joint venture of STRABAG SE and Norderland/ETANAX Group. This offshore wind park project, which has approval for 79 wind energy converters of the 5-7 MW class, is located 105 km off the coast in the German sector of the North Sea. The wind park covers an area of 39 square kilometers at a water depth of 39-40 meters. The contractual partners have agreed not to disclose any information on the purchase price.

STRABAG OW EVS GmbH is a project planning company and service provider for the development of offshore wind parks. The company was founded in 2011 as a joint venture between STRABAG SE and the East Frisian project developer NOW (Nordsee-Offshore-Wind GmbH). OW EVS still has a pipeline of 12 Offshore Wind Park projects in the German North Sea.
