The M&A agenda continues to shape despite facing various uncertainties also for private equity firms and their portfolio companies. Due to several economic and geopolitical factors, political agendas and many more challenging reasons, the M&A market in Germany is forced to further developments and finds new solutions for the many challenges of today.

The landscape for M&A transactions in Germany is showing promising signs of recovery and the forecast for 2025 indicates a positive trend in stabilization and growth of the market. In addition, there are a number of legislative developments adopted by the outgoing German government and also recent case law relevant for private equity investors in various sectors.
