Thomas is a director and specialist in the field of cyber financial services. He brings extensive expertise in cyber security, IT compliance and operational resilience to the table, backed by over 15 years of experience in advising banks and insurance companies.
Thomas Klir, CISA, CISM, CCNA is a security practitioner with over 15 years of experience in the field. He leads multicultural and multidisciplinary teams charged with developing disruptive innovations for cyberspace operations as well as advises private-sector and governance organizations with the aim of a better securing cyberspace and compliance to the regulatory requirements. The consulting work primarily focuses on the financial service industry and the support of the CISO organization in realizable IT Compliance like DORA and MaRisk. In research, he is primarily in the government field and focuses on the optimization of cyber security operations with the support of artificial intelligence. Thomas has authored and taught dozens of courses and workshops in cybersecurity for academic, government, and professional audiences. He holds a master’s degree in IT Security from the Technical University of Darmstadt, is the author of several publications and speeches and pursuing a doctoral degree in cybersecurity from University Münster.
