Frankfurt am Main, 18 Dezember 2023

PwC Holdings Germany GmbH, PwC Germany’s investment arm for industrial growth capital, is taking a minority stake in ONEKEY GmbH, based in Düsseldorf, together with eCAPITAL as part of a capital increase. Cybercrime is one of the most pressing challenges for numerous companies from almost all industries, not least due to increasing regulatory requirements.

ONEKEY is a platform for cybersecurity and compliance. It automatically checks and identifies critical security vulnerabilities in embedded software, especially in Internet-of-Things devices, and monitors and manages them throughout the entire product development cycle. To do this, it disassembles binary code using proprietary technology, scans the disassembled software for vulnerabilities and prioritises the scan results. Additional functionalities also help customers to fulfil regulatory requirements as well as national and international compliance specifications.

The existing portfolio companies of PwC Holdings Germany GmbH specialise in artificial intelligence, machine and asset connectivity, big data and automation.

“The investment in ONEKEY GmbH is the first investment in our portfolio in the area of IoT cyber security expertise. Resilience in this segment is becoming an increasingly important success factor in a world where cyber attacks are on the rise.”
