Banijay Germany faced the challenge of producing creative content more efficiently and with greater precision to meet the increasing demands of a rapidly evolving media industry. Digitalization and the growing use of AI offer significant opportunities to optimize processes and unlock new sources of value. Together with PwC, Banijay developed a data- and AI-driven approach to systematically identify and harness AI’s potential within production processes. The goals were to increase productivity and efficiency, open up new revenue opportunities, and deepen collaboration with clients. The initial situation was defined by pressure to innovate, intensifying competition, and the ambition to combine creative excellence with technological efficiency.

At the heart of the project was a value-driven approach that uses data and AI to deliver tangible impact for Banijay: boosting productivity and efficiency, unlocking new revenue potential, and deepening client collaboration. Following a comprehensive opportunity assessment, relevant use cases were identified, evaluated, and prioritized based on economic value as well as technical and organizational feasibility. Implementation began with a pilot phase involving selected users, leveraging a combination of third-party solutions and proprietary AI agents. The solutions were continuously refined and then rolled out company-wide. The outcome is a sustainable innovation model that successfully brings creativity and technology together.
